14 ECNL stars helped the United States U15 Women's Youth National Team capture the CONCACAF Girls' U15 Championship with a 3-0 win over Mexico on Sunday.
Melia Brewer (KC Athletics), Mia Corona (Legends FC), Maddie DiMaria (SLSG Navy), Alexandra Han (Solar SC), Amari Manning (PDA Blue), Ella McNeal (SLSG), Chloe Miller (MVLA), Taylor Morrell (VDA), KK Ream (Utah Avalanche), Carolina Reyna (Sting Austin), Deus Stanislaus (PDA), Caroline Swann (DKSC), Elena Vera (Davis Legacy), and Mak Whitham (Slammers FC HB Køge - Gotham FC) all helped lead the way as the United States won their fourth-straight CONCACAF Girls' U15 Championship.
Throughout the five games, the United States outscored their opposition 31-1, with the lone goal against them being scored by Canada in a semifinal match that the United States advanced through on penalty kicks.
ECNL players accounted for 44 starts throughout the tournament, scored 22 of the United States' 31 goals, with eight different players scoring, and also recorded 11 assists.
Team captain Caroline Swann won the Golden Ball as the MVP of the tournament, scoring two goals along the way, while Carolina Reyna was the Golden Boot winner. Reyna scored six times throughout the tournament, including a four goal performance in the United States first game against Jamaica.
In the knockout stages against Canada and Mexico, ECNL players accounted for all of the United States' goals. Whitham scored the United States lone goal in the semifinal against Canada, while Brewer, DiMaria, Ream, and Stanislaus all scored in the penalty kick shootout to help the United States advance to the final.
In the championship game against Mexico, Corona opened the scoring for the United States in the 14th minute of the game, before Whitham and Brewer added on goals late in the second half to secure the trophy for the United States.
The win concluded a huge week for current ECNL players and alumni starring on the national stage, following 14 ECNL alumni helping the United States Women's National Team secure their first Olympic gold medal since 2012 in Paris last Saturday.
