RICHMOND, Va. (August 4, 2025) - The ECNL is proud to announce that more than 50 athletes across ECNL Boys and ECNL Girls have been named 2025 Gatorade Players of the Year in their respective states. In addition, Dan Klink from Pipeline SC and Addison Halpern from PDA were named the Gatorade National Boys and Girls Player of the Year, respectively. In total, 24 ECNL Boys athletes and 33 ECNL Girls athletes were named state Players of the Year.
Since 1985, Gatorade has recognized the most outstanding high school student-athletes for their athletic excellence, academic achievement, and exemplary character. This season marks the seventh consecutive year ECNL Boys has reached a record number of players selected, besting 2024's total of 23, and the 24 players selected is the most of any youth soccer league in the country.
