XF ACADEMY NAMED ECNL BOYS OVERALL CLUB CHAMPION, TOP 25 CLUBS REVEALED

XF Academy becomes first back-to-back overall club winner in ECNL Boys history

RICHMOND, Va. (August 14, 2025) - The ECNL is proud to announce XF Academy has won the 2024-25 ECNL Boys Overall Club Championship, becoming the first club in ECNL Boys history to win the award in back-to-back seasons.

This honor is awarded to the club that earned the highest total points from regular-season conference games and performance at the ECNL National Playoffs and Finals. Winning this championship requires consistent excellence across all age groups throughout the season.

"Winning four national championships was unprecedented in ECNL Boys until XF Academy accomplished that feat this season, and it was more than deserved," said ECNL Boys Commissioner Jason Kutney. "The ECNL Boys Overall Club Championship is the hardest award to win in the ECNL, and to do it in back-to-back seasons is even more difficult. Congratulations to everyone at the club for this tremendous achievement and for setting the standard in the ECNL."

XF Academy's excellence was on full display at the ECNL Boys National Playoffs and Finals, as the club won four ECNL National Championships in 2024-25 (U13, U14, U17 and U18/19), the most in a single-season by any club in league history. The club also finished first in the Northwest Conference in five of the six age groups and was one of eight clubs throughout the league to send a team to the ECNL Boys National Playoffs in every age group.

Finishing behind XF Academy was Concorde Fire Platinum out of the Southeast Conference. Concorde Fire Platinum finished as national runners-up in the U14 and U18/19 age groups, sent a total of four teams to the ECNL Boys National Finals and had two teams finish at the top of their conference standings.

Pateadores placed third, winning the club's third U18/19 North American Cup and finishing as the U16 runner-up. The club had its U14 team finish first in the highly-competitive Southwest Conference, and was one of three teams the club sent to the ECNL Boys National Finals.

Rounding out the Top 5 is NCFC Youth Academy and Legends FC, with NCFC placing four out of six age groups in the Round of 16 at the ECNL Playoffs and Legends FC advancing three into the Round of 16, eventually winning the U15 ECNL Boys National Championship.
