ECNL TO LIVE-STREAM ALL 2023-24 NATIONAL EVENTS

This season, through its expanded partnership with Hudl, the ECNL is excited to announce the live streaming of all games at ECNL National Events, as well as a new ECNL League Video Exchange allowing teams to share game footage of all U15-U18/19 games.  Together, these services provide unprecedented video resources to players and coaches for improvement of the youth game at no cost to the clubs.

The ECNL League Video Exchange allows teams to share game footage from all league matches, and makes it easier than ever to access and use video content for development and recruitment. Coaches and athletes will now have greater access than ever to better prepare for games, and to learn from watching and assessing their own performances.

In addition, with cameras on every field and for every time slot at each ECNL National Event, all U12-U18/19 event games will be live streamed to allow family, friends, and coaches all over the country to watch and support the country's best players.

Last season, Hudl Focus Flex cameras captured the ECNL Girls' and ECNL Boys' National Playoffs and Finals. Over 11 days in June and July, Focus Flex cameras captured more than 1,200 games, with each match uploaded and broken down by Hudl Assist for all teams. In total, this service saved ECNL clubs nearly 5,000 total hours of manual work, while providing every team a comprehensive analytics breakdown of every game.

For regular season games in the 2023-2024 season from U15-U18/19, home teams will record the match and upload it to the ECNL League Video Exchange — saving visitors the inconvenience and cost of traveling with equipment and allowing both teams to use the film for education, development, and recruiting.

"The ECNL League Video Exchange is a gamechanger for player development and exposure, and will help every player maximize their potential and opportunity" said ECNL President Christian Lavers. "Players and coaches will be able to review and learn from video far more easily, college and professional scouts will be able to better see the growth and maturation of players over time, and teams will be able to scout and prepare for each other tactically in a new way."

The investment in video resources for players and coaches is another step forward for the ECNL in supporting growth and improvement in youth soccer.  Look for more exciting new updates from the league in the coming months, further raising the standards and professionalism across the ECNL.
